Scholar-in-Residence Weekend Registration 2026


We're excited to bring Rabbi Dr. Joshua Kulp to Columbus, Ohio as our 2026 Scholar-in-Residence. Rabbi Kulp is the author of three books, and engages audiences with lively discussions and interactive events. Event registration is now open, and there are opportunities to become a sponsor of this event.


Registration is required for dinner on Friday, February 20, 2026 and for the craft beer tasting the night of Saturday, February 21, 2026.


Registration ends on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 11:59 pm. Tickets to the Friday night dinner are included in the different sponsorship levels, or can be purchased separately for $36 per ticket.

Friday, February 20, 2026:
● Services (5:30 pm - 6:45 pm)
● Dinner (6:45 pm - 7:15 pm - registration required and is included in different sponsorship levels or for $36 per ticket)
● Discussion: Rabban Yohanan ben Zakkai: The Rabbinic Imagination of the Destruction of the Temple (7:15 pm - 8:15 pm - open to the congregation)


Saturday, February 21, 2026, morning:
● Shabbat Warmup: (9:00 am - 9:30 am)
● Services (9:30-12)
● D’var Torah (Terumah)
● After Kiddush discussion: Rabbi Akiva: From Midrashic Master to Martyr (12:30 pm - 1:30 pm)


Saturday, February 21, 2026 evening:
● Sponsors’ dessert reception (6:45 pm - 7:15 pm)

● Havdalah (7:15 pm)

● Craft Beer and Talmud: Can one Perform Havdalah over Beer? (7:30 pm - 8:30 pm - registration is free but required to attend)

Non-sponsor dinner tickets are also available for $36/person.
